Saint-Estèphe Appellation

Château Marceline Saint-Estèphe

Château Marceline

Saint-Estèphe - Cru Artisan

Château Marceline benefits from sando-clayey and gravelly soils; and its subsoil is the Saint-Estèphe limestone. The vines are 43 years old on average, and 55 for the oldest ones with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot.
The vine-pruning is completely manual. However, since 2010, the grapes are mechanically harvested with a first sorting in the vineyard, and a second in the cellar, just before fermentation. The vinification is done in concrete vats, the traditional Médoc way. The wine is aged for one year in oak barrels before bottling, which occurs on the following spring, in order to remain faithful to the philosophy of Chateau Marceline and out of respect for the product (the terroir, the vineyard and the wine).
Château Marceline produces 8.000 bottles a year, sold to individuals directly on the estate. Chateau Marceline is also distributed in a restaurant in Paris, several restaurants in London and another one in Germany. And it has also been purchased by high ranking Chinese dignitaries.

Cuvée HH 2019

Saint-Estèphe - Cru Artisan

The Cuvée HH was born in 2019, in homage to Henri and Hélène, Céline's grandparents. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Château Marceline, the plot of the HH cuvée was harvested by hand and vinified entirely in an amphora, then aged in it.
Our cuvée HH highlights the expression of Another Saint-Estèphe.
Only 1000 bottles were bottled on June 9. If you haven't booked yours yet, contact us!
Its price is 25 euros, packaged in wooden crates from 3.
